Yaesu FT-857 & FT-897 Display Color Options Chart

The background color of the display is set via menu item #041 (DISP COLOR). Note that the black text on some of the darker background colors (like black on blue) is hard to read on the radio as well as here. Thus, if you want a scheme that is readable thoughout the range of options, you are pretty much stuck with:Notes:

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please use the AE7Q message board. I've spent a considerable amount of time documenting the vanity application process. I've created a message board, where I and others have publicly answered very common questions, so that we don't have to repeatedly answer them, particularly in private communications.
I am not your private consultant. Private messages (regardless of whether you feel a special reason for your application) on these and associated topics will be rebuffed, ignored, and/or made public.
